Work in progress in Via San Marco, Milan, for the new opening of the famous restaurant brand from Portofino. It is about “Da I Gemelli” restaurant, a business started in 2014 from Matteo and Paolo Giovannini. The two twins are the eight generation of an active family in the restaurant business in the Tigullio area since 1850, owners of another famous place in Portofino: Il Molo. “We would like to bring in Milan a new restaurant format, a place to live before and after dinner with spaces reserved to specific time of the evening. We own a 200 square meters room in which are available around 60 seats. Choosing Milan is due to two main reasons: firstly, it is because the majority of our clients in Portofino are from Milan; secondly, Milan is the most international Italian city and we think that being placed in Brera area could offer us the correct visibility for a client target that in Liguria we could not have reached“.
